WALL CLOCKS – Uhren
Vintage wall clocks and vintage clocks from West and East Germany: genuine mid century wall clocks from the 1960s and 70s, never reproductions. Our collection brings together ceramic clocks by Junghans, Kienzle, Europa, Pallas, Schatz, Scheurich, Weimar and other makers in bold orange, red, moss green and brown. Looking for a mid century clock or an atomic wall clock? Op-Art ripples, relief patterns and sculptural shapes like apple, flower and octagon deliver that 60s and 70s look. Every clock is tested before listing, arrives in working order, and has its exact year, size, movement type and battery needs listed on its own page. Our clocks come from small batches, so styles can sell out. Questions about a clock? Just message us.
Questions about our vintage wall clocks
Are these genuine originals from the Mid-Century era?
Yes, these are all genuine originals — real vintage ceramic wall clocks from West Germany or former East Germany (GDR). No reproductions, no replicas.
Do the clocks still run reliably – quartz or mechanical movement?
Most of our vintage wall clocks have a battery-powered quartz or electromechanical movement, not a wind-up mechanism. The movement type is listed in each product description. Every clock is tested before it's listed and runs reliably.
Is a battery included?
No, the clocks ship without a battery. The battery type needed (usually LR6 or LR14) is listed in each product description.
How do I hang the clock?
Most clocks have a hanger on the back (see photos). Since many are worked in relief — raised at the front, recessed at the back — they can also simply be hung on one nail, or better, two.
How does such a fragile ceramic clock arrive safely?
Over the years, Dirk has developed a really good, safe packing technique, so you don't need to worry. Shipping is also insured, and if anything ever gets lost or arrives damaged, we handle the claim with the carrier for you.
How does shipping work?
Every piece ships from us in Germany, packed with great care and know-how. The shipping cost depends on your country, the weight of the piece and its packed size. You can see the available shipping rates directly below the price on each product page, and again at checkout. If you order several pieces, the combined shipping cost is calculated automatically. Taxes and duties may apply.
What if the clock I want is already sold?
Our vintage clocks aren't one-of-a-kind pieces — they come from small batches. So it's quite possible we'll come across a similar or matching piece from the same batch again at some point. Still, we recommend grabbing a clock you love right away: the odds of finding the exact same one again anytime soon aren't great.
Is there a discount if I buy more than one piece?
Yes. Our automatic discount applies across the whole shop, so you can mix pieces from any collection: 10% off when you buy 2 pieces and 20% off when you buy 4 or more. It is applied automatically in your cart, no code needed.
