This vintage Royal Copenhagen “Diana” bowl, designed by Nils Thorsson, brings Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design to the table—with a few feathered friends along for the ride. A little piece of Danish nature, beautifully captured in ceramic.
Wild ducks nestle among reeds and water plants across the cream-colored interior, their finely detailed plumage rendered in earthy brown and olive-green tones. A dark, mottled exterior and slim brown rim frame the scene, giving this gently rounded rectangular bowl its distinctive character.
Design & Details:
Part of Thorsson’s nature-inspired Diana series, this piece combines an understated shape with a wonderfully intricate decoration. Display it on a teak sideboard, give it a place on your coffee table, or let it keep your everyday treasures together.
The underside bears the Royal Copenhagen Denmark crown stamp, the blue three-wave mark, and the decoration and shape numbers 1048/5303.
