Up for sale is a beautiful, matching pair (set of 2) of the legendary "Saturn" enamel bowls (also known as Stripes or Strek), manufactured by the renowned Norwegian company Cathrineholm.
This iconic series was designed in 1958 by the world-famous Norwegian goldsmith and designer Grete Prytz Kittelsen.
Rarity & Colorway:
This set features the highly sought-after, inverse colorway. The interior of the bowls is finished in a glossy, deep jet-black enamel. The exterior boasts a striking, graphic stripe design where the fine rings were meticulously scraped out of the black topcoat before firing, revealing the vibrant, deep red enamel layer underneath. The bottom of each bowl features the original, pristine black Cathrineholm stamp ("Cathrineholm of Norway" with the classic large "C").
