WALL CLOCKS – Uhren

Vintarama's wall clocks are genuine Mid-Century originals from former West Germany or East Germany (GDR), by well-known manufacturers like Junghans, Braun, Dugena, Kienzle, and Diehl Electronic — each one authentic, never a reproduction. Most date from the 1950s to the 1970s, with the occasional rare 1980s piece; each clock's exact year is noted in its own listing. Every clock is tested before it's listed and arrives in good working order, with its movement type (quartz, electromechanical, or mechanical) and battery requirements listed per product. From bold ceramic Op-Art designs to classic brass and wood cases, these clocks bring real mid-century character to any wall. Questions about a specific piece? Just message us.

Questions about our vintage wall clocks

Are these genuine originals from the Mid-Century era?

Yes, these are all genuine originals — real vintage ceramic wall clocks from West Germany or former East Germany (GDR). No reproductions, no replicas.

Do the clocks still run reliably – quartz or mechanical movement?

Most of our vintage wall clocks have a battery-powered quartz or electromechanical movement, not a wind-up mechanism. The movement type is listed in each product description. Every clock is tested before it's listed and runs reliably.

Is a battery included?

No, the clocks ship without a battery. The battery type needed (usually LR6 or LR14) is listed in each product description.

How do I hang the clock?

Most clocks have a hanger on the back (see photos). Since many are worked in relief — raised at the front, recessed at the back — they can also simply be hung on one nail, or better, two.

How does such a fragile ceramic clock arrive safely?

Over the years, Dirk has developed a really good, safe packing technique, so you don't need to worry. Shipping is also insured, and if anything ever gets lost or arrives damaged, we handle the claim with the carrier for you.

Do I have to pay customs or import fees?

Yes, for our Vintage originals — they ship directly from Germany, and customs and import fees may apply depending on your country. For exact details, please check with your local customs authority — we ship worldwide and simply can't know or provide that information for every country.

What if the clock I want is already sold?

Our vintage clocks aren't one-of-a-kind pieces — they come from small batches. So it's quite possible we'll come across a similar or matching piece from the same batch again at some point. Still, we recommend grabbing a clock you love right away: the odds of finding the exact same one again anytime soon aren't great.

Can I return the clock if I don't like it?

Yes, within 14 days, no reason needed, just like with all our products. Please contact us first before sending anything back, so we can sort out the details with you.
